Word of mouth built it. Let’s make it easy to find.

Marketing for Indianapolis home services, trades, restaurants, shops, and salons. We get you showing up when your neighbors search, and we make sure every call, text, and form gets an answer in minutes, even when you’re up on a roof.

Busy every day. Somehow not growing.

You’ve put in 15 years of good work, and your customers still send their sister-in-law your way. That’s how most of the local businesses we meet got here. And for a long time, that was plenty.

Then word of mouth stopped scaling. The customers are the same and so is the revenue, but the costs keep climbing. A homeowner in Carmel searches “AC repair near me” and three companies show up before you, one of them two years old. Here’s the thing: your work didn’t get worse. Google simply has more names to show than it used to, and yours isn’t near the top.

Trades & home services

HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, landscaping. The calls come in bursts and the jobs are worth real money. You’re on a ladder when the phone rings, and by the time you call back, they’ve booked somebody else. Then there are the lead sites, where you pay per lead and find out the same homeowner went to four other contractors.

Restaurants, shops & salons

Here it sounds different. Nobody wants a quote; they’re deciding where to eat tonight or who cuts their hair next. That decision happens fast, and it usually starts with a phone search for “near me.” Meanwhile your Instagram is gathering dust because you’re on the floor all day, and Tuesdays in Fountain Square are slower than they should be.

Maybe you already tried to fix it. Paid an agency every month, got a PDF full of charts and words like “reach,” and couldn’t point to one extra job. Honestly, you’re in a big club. When vcita surveyed small-business owners in April 2025, 40% had dropped or switched their marketing agency, and most gave the same reason: they couldn’t see a return.

So we set this up around the parts that burned you. The price is printed on our pricing page. You commit to 3 months, then it’s month to month. The report counts calls and booked jobs. And everything we set up is in your name, so leaving never costs you your phone number.

Booked jobs are the number that matters.

The order we’d do it in

Most local businesses need the same few fixes, in roughly the same sequence. Whatever you’ve already got handled, we skip. No sense paying twice.

01

Show up on Google

Your Google Business Profile filled out completely and kept active, plus the local basics on your website. That map box with three businesses in it matters more than your homepage for a plumber in Greenwood or a bakery in Irvington.

How local SEO works
02

Answer every lead in minutes

Missed calls get a text back. Web forms get a reply before the customer clicks over to the next tab. You still do the talking. The follow-up just stops depending on whether you were free.

03

Reviews, asked for while the customer is happy

A review request goes out right after the work is done, while the customer is still happy. BrightLocal’s research found that listings with plenty of strong reviews land in Google’s local 3-pack far more often than thin ones.

04

Then, maybe, ads

Once you show up and answer fast, paid search has something to work with. Before that, it’s mostly an expensive way to send people to a thin listing. We’ll tell you straight when you’re ready.

How we run Google Ads

Don’t get us wrong, ads can work. But most local businesses buy them too early. If your Google profile has 11 reviews and no photos, an ad budget pays to send strangers to a listing that doesn’t convince them. Fix the listing first. It’s cheaper, and it keeps working after you stop paying anyone, us included.

The first month is setup, and honestly, it’s boring. Profile fixes, call tracking, a review request that actually sends. You won’t feel much yet. That’s why the minimum is 3 months: the listing and the reviews need that long to show up in your call log. Your part stays small, a call with us each month and a quick reply when we need a photo. And if you’ve wondered whether an AI assistant could handle the after-hours questions, ask. Sometimes it’s worth building. Often a plain auto-text does the job.

The questions you’d ask anyway

You’ve been pitched before. So here are the straight answers up front, and the call can be about you and your business.

Am I signing a 12-month contract?

No. The minimum is 3 months, and we say so up front because a Google profile and a stack of new reviews need about that long to move. After month 3 it’s month to month, and you can stop any month you like.

How will I know if the marketing is working?

Once a month you get a short report in plain English. It counts calls, form fills, new reviews, and the jobs you tell us you booked. You won’t find the word “impressions” in it. Call tracking is the first thing we set up, so every call can be traced back to where it came from.

Who answers when I call you?

The same person every time, someone who already knows your business. There’s no account manager reading your file for the first time, because we cap the whole consultancy at 8 clients. As for your customers’ calls, you still answer those. If you miss one, a text goes back within a minute so they don’t move on to the next name on Google.

What does marketing cost for a home services business in Indianapolis?

Our retainers are $1,200, $2,400, or $4,800 a month. At $1,200 we run one channel properly, and for most local businesses we’d pick Google visibility and reviews. At $2,400 we add lead follow-up and review automation so the pieces work together. At $4,800 we run your marketing outright. The minimum is 3 months, there’s no setup fee, and nonprofits get a reduced rate. If you run ads, the ad spend goes on your own card, straight to Google. For a sense of scale, SBA guidance puts marketing at 7–8% of gross revenue for businesses under $5 million. On $300,000 a year, that works out to roughly $1,750 to $2,000 a month.

What happens if I stop working with you?

You keep everything. Your website and domain, your Google Business Profile, your ad accounts, your customer list, and your reports are set up in your name from the first week, with us added as a user. When you leave, we hand over anything outstanding and remove ourselves. Nothing gets switched off. We’ve read too many stories of agencies that killed a contractor’s hosting and the phone number on his Google profile on the way out.

Will you also work for my competitor?

Not in your part of town. 8 clients at a time lets us keep it to roughly one per trade per territory. If a business like yours already has the seat, you’ll hear that on the first call, along with a name or two we’d trust instead.
