Which chore should AI take off your plate first?
You’ve built something real, and the busywork grew right along with it. Check the tasks you still do by hand and tell us how many hours each one eats. We’ll name your best first automation and give you a straight answer on every task: an agent, an automation, or honestly... just a better-connected CRM.
Free. No email. No login. Nothing to download. Everything you enter stays in your browser.
No black box. The math is all on this page.
We gave every task a fixed ease rating from 1 to 5. A 5 is pure rule-following: copy this from there to here. A 1 means someone has to use judgment every time. The finder multiplies that rating by the hours you entered, and the biggest number goes first.
That’s the whole formula. It can’t know your margins or what your Tuesday nights are worth, so it doesn’t pretend to. The only hours it shows are the ones you typed in.
Here at CPC, we aren’t afraid of a hot take: most 5-person businesses should automate one task, watch it for a few weeks, and only then pick a second. So the finder names one first pick, not a shopping list.
| Task | Ease rating | Usual verdict |
|---|---|---|
| Following up on new leads | 5 of 5 | An agent |
| Scheduling and rescheduling | 4 of 5 | An automation |
| Asking customers for reviews | 4 of 5 | Honestly, just a better-connected CRM |
| Sending invoice reminders | 4 of 5 | An automation |
| Pulling the weekly numbers together | 4 of 5 | An automation |
| Drafting social posts | 3 of 5 | An agent |
| Collecting details with intake forms | 4 of 5 | An agent |
| Answering the same questions | 4 of 5 | An agent |
| Retyping data between tools | 5 of 5 | An automation |
| Following up on quotes | 4 of 5 | An agent |
| Sending thank-yous | 3 of 5 | Honestly, just a better-connected CRM |
| Writing up meeting notes | 3 of 5 | An agent |
An agent
Software that reads a message or a form, drafts a reply or a summary, and waits for your tap. It writes in your name, so it gets the most care in setup.
An automation
A fixed rule: when this happens, do that. No judgment involved, which makes it the simplest fix to build and trust.
Just a better-connected CRM
The tools you already pay for don’t talk to each other, or you don’t have a CRM yet. Don’t get us wrong, AI is great. But we’d connect what you have before building anything new.
Bring your list. We’ll sketch the build.
30 minutes, free, no slide deck. We take your top task, sketch how it would run with you approving everything, and hand you that sketch even if you never hire us. We take 8 clients at a time, so if we’re full, we’ll tell you that too.
